Coverage types:
COMMERCIAL AUTO LIABILITY: protects small businesses when a company-owned vehicle is involved in a collision, stolen, vandalized, or otherwise damaged. This coverage also issues your filings to the FMCSA and RMIS

MOTOR TRUCK CARGO: also known as cargo insurance or freight insurance, protects trucking companies from financial losses due to damage or loss of cargo while it's being transported. This coverage can apply during loading, unloading, and transit, and can protect against accidents like collisions, fires, rollovers, and trailer/cargo strikes. It can also cover the cost of cleanup and pollution removal.

PHYSICAL DAMAGE: a type of insurance that protects vehicles from a variety of damages, including those to the inside, outside, mechanical, and electrical systems. It's a general term that typically includes collision and comprehensive insurance policies, but can also include more limited options like fire and theft coverage.

A third party can be any member of the public who interacts with your business. That includes customers, clients, vendors, and even delivery people. It does not include yourself or your employees. General Liability coverage typically pays your legal fees and the cost of fixing the situation (up to the limits of liability).

UMBRELLA COVERAGE: also known as business umbrella insurance, is an additional layer of liability protection that supplements a business's existing commercial auto insurance policy. It can help cover claims that exceed the limits of a business's liability policies, such as auto accidents, bodily injury, and property damage. Umbrella insurance can also cover damages caused by cars that a business uses but doesn't own.

EXCESS COVERAGE: also known as commercial excess liability insurance, is a policy that increases the limits of a commercial auto insurance policy when a claim exceeds the policy's limits. It's intended to protect businesses from unexpected events that could have catastrophic consequences, such as auto accidents.

WORKERS'S COMPENSATION: considered the exclusive remedy for injured employees. What this means is that an employer assumes absolute liability for all work-related injuries, and workers' compensation benefits are the sole remedy for injured workers against their employers.
